Commit Your Works to the Lord
"Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him], And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance]." Proverbs 16:3 AMP
"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established" Proverbs 16:3 KJV
Backstory: The book of Proverbs is all about wisdom. The Word of God speaks to us through simple and advanced phrases that all support the need to seek God and to cast down the devil. God brings about love, power, and a sound mind; the devil was created to kill, steal, and destroy. God is the truth; the devil is the master of deception. Throughout Proverbs we learn about God's honest love for us and the ways that Satan seeks to fool us. Today's scripture gives us something to consider in our everyday walk.
Response: Proverbs 16:3 is an instruction attached with a promised result. We are told to commit our works to the Lord. This means that we submit our thoughts and actions to God in regards to our plans in ministry, relationships, employment, entrepreneurship, and any other form of work. Then we are told that by doing so, God will establish our thoughts. If we follow God's guidance our plans will succeed! On the contrary, we fail when we disobey God's commandments. If our thoughts are not established by God, then they are established by the enemy, Satan. Satan will make his plan appealing, but there is always destruction waiting ahead.
We pray that you study and meditate over today's scripture. Ask God to show you what it truly means to commit your work unto Him. See how God's plan is always the best plan. Do not be fooled by the wiles of Satan and his evil army. Stay covered by prayer and the full armor of God. Know that only God can do any and all things. God is the truth.
In Jesus mighty name,
Hallelujah, Amen!
