Daily Bread - Matthew 4:4

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4 NIV

The verse of the day discusses a situation when Satan came to tempt Jesus. Satan knew that Jesus had just fasted for 40 days and 40 nights; he suggested Jesus to use His powers to make and eat bread. Luckily, Jesus understood that Satan's job is to kill, steal, and destroy. Any instructions of Satan are with evil intent. So, Jesus replied with the Word of God because the dilemma was of the spirit, not natural (physical).

When temptations appear be reminded that there is an ongoing spiritual warfare over your destiny. God's team loves and wants goodness for your life. With God comes eternal life in bliss. Satan and his minions want to distract you from the truth. When we stray from the things of God we are more susceptible to the lies of the enemy. We must stay in the full armor of God to guard our mind, heart, and soul.

Our prayer for the reader of this message include relationship, studying, and grace. We pray that you seek an intimate relationship with God, study the Word of God to build an understanding of spiritual warfare, and may the grace of God keep you.

In Jesus mighty name,

Hallelujah, Amen!
