New Life - 2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" 2 Corinthians 5:17 NIV
The butterfly has one of the most beautiful metamorphoses visible to the human eye. They go through several stages: egg, caterpillar, chrysalis, and adulthood. Their life cycle shows the beauty in transformation.
In 2 Corinthians 5:17, the author says that those who follow Christ go through a transformation. When we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we are born again. We do not experience a physical rebirth, instead we receive a spiritual inheritance.
The spirit takes nurturing as does the physical form. The Word of God supplies all of the knowledge and tools to prosper in the spirit. Some practical instructions found in the Holy Bible for spiritual maturity include: seeking God, prayer, meditation, serving others, and studying the Word for further understanding.
My prayers are that the reader of this message seeks God and righteousness, because all other things will be supplied in due time.
