Good Over Evil

This world is full of ideologies that encourage a "tit for tat", retaliation, or counterattack for every wrongdoing. There are gangs of many sorts that are founded on principles of fighting evil with evil. But, the Body of Christ is called to take the posture of obedience to the word of God and always respond with good.

In dark spaces we shall be a light. When storms are raging, we shall rest in peace. This matter is all about trusting God. In many cases we feel that we must ensure an individual learns the weight of their negative words/actions. In all honesty, it might even be pleasurable to some to see their foes fall. But, that heart posture is not edifying of God's kingdom. All matters related to vengeance belong to the Lord.

When we seek to overcome evil by evil, we are exercising muscles in Satan's gym. This overtime will make evil our authentic nature which does not lead us to the kingdom of God. Instead we need to overcome evil by doing good as the word instructs us. Doing good even when it doesn't feel good, is good for our soul. For the battle of good versus evil is spiritual. There are matters that we cannot comprehend in the spirit realm. Entertaining the enemy will only have us chained to a team that has already lost. Satan and his team are already defeated. At an appointed time will be the end of their time, a set expiration.

Don't expire in evil, but be saturated in God's love striving for his righteousness and everlasting life. God is good all the time and we ought to follow suit!
