Grace

Grace is a gift from God. We cannot pay, earn, or demand grace, but we can accept it and through faith obtain salvation.

Scriptures + Response

  1. "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV

    1. A chief principle that is grounded into the foundation of Christianity is that we as humans cannot earn salvation, instead, we must choose it. God's unconditional love extends grace so that we have access to salvation through faith. This is a gift that is only given by God, our Creator. Do not for any moment believe that doing good works alone saves you; only God saves.

  2. "And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:8 ESV

    1. God designed your life so that each moment that is given is partnered with all provisions needed for you to live your God-ordained purpose. There is no scenario that you can come across where God cannot lead you to victory. Victory has already been won, but we must walk and live in a victorious spirit. We are equipped to turn every test into a testimony. Because of God, we can stand firm in faith, persevering through trials whilst maintaining a spirit of obedience to God.

  3. "Do not be led away by diverse and strange teachings, for it is good for the heart to be strengthened by grace, not by foods, which have not benefited those devoted to them." Hebrews 13:9 ESV
    1. Have you ever met an individual who is insistent that you must accept their philosophies? Maybe they have studied many subjects or their real-life experiences are impressively diverse. What is their foundation? Does their insight draw you closer to God? If not, where are you being led? Truth is that if you are being pulled from God, you are being pushed into danger. It is with the shield of salvation through Jesus Christ that we are able to resist the fiery darts of the enemy. Well-organized speech and beautiful words can lead you to eternal damnation. False doctrines will offer material goods, distorted realities, and physical satisfaction, which are all temporary. Remember that the things of this world will perish one day. Do not allow someone's temporary situation to dictate your eternal destination.

Prayer

God of Grace, hear our prayer. Thank You for the amazing gift of grace that stands as an expression of Your unconditional love for us. You supply us with all that is necessary for us to be successful according to the individual expectations that You have for us. You designed a blueprint for us to experience an enjoyable, fruitful life. But, we do not always follow the plans that You have for us. Help us to stay aligned with Your good and perfect will. When we stray, graciously set us back on the straight and narrow path that leads to eternal life.

In Jesus' Name,

Hallelujah, Amen!
